For the past week, certain places on the net have been become rigid with speculation that Tampa Bay Rays slugger Evan Longoria and Playboy model Jaime Edmondson were dating. Sure, people could see the circumstantial evidence, such as this photo with the pair apparently having fun at Disney's Animal Kingdom. There were the tweets of Edmondson and Longoria teammate David Price - something in regards to a doggie sleepover at Price's house. Nevertheless it proved nothing.
However, the same as with Woodward and Bernstein exposing the shenanigans from the Nixon White House and Watergate, we couldn't know until a reporter actually asked Longoria. As well as gentleman, Marc Topkin from the Tampa Bay Times is today's Woodward and Bernstein. Woody Bernstein, for a moment:
Edmondson is a 33-year-old former Miami Dolphins cheerleader (is certainly not always the way in which?) who was a two-time contestant on CBS's "Amazing Race." A two-timer!
Longoria procedes to say that he enjoys Edmondson's company due to her intellect, which can be kind of like when we say they're buying Playboy for your articles. No, no, Longo says: Edmondson has blogged about fantasy football and it has a satellite radio show.
No surprise Longoria was a little later in reporting to spring training compared to past seasons. There was clearly much fantasy football and pet discussion to be enjoyed with Ms. Edmondson. Hey, this is a link to a number of Edmondson's non-blog and non-radio work - and it's really not safe for work, either - nevertheless it gives you a perception of what a big nfl and college football fan she actually is.
Longoria, just 26, is living the life span just about any heterosexual man could desire. With him virtually handling things around the home front, and healthy, there is no reason he can't have his best season yet. Now, if he could just find his Rays cap, his life will be perfect.
